On Thursday, March 28, 2024, the Maple Banquet Hall in Mississauga was abuzz with excitement as the Toronto International Academy bid farewell to its graduating class of accomplished scholars and celebrated their achievements at the highly anticipated graduation and prom night event.
Parents, teachers, students, and esteemed alumni came together to commemorate this milestone occasion. The evening was filled with memorable moments, heartfelt speeches, and recognition of outstanding achievements.
Valedictorians Aniket Koundiya and Nimesha Vilathgamuwa delivered inspiring speeches, reflecting on their time at the academy and looking towards the future with optimism and gratitude. The principal also shared words of wisdom and encouragement, urging the graduates to continue striving for excellence in all their endeavors.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of awards to exceptional individuals who have demonstrated remarkable qualities throughout their academic journey. Hyungseong Lee was honored with the Leadership Award, while Abhinav Chawla received the Citizenship Award. Chaewoo Kim and Seojin Anh were recognized with the Academic Award, alongside Nimesha Vilathgamuwa, who also received the prestigious Governor General Award. Dayeon Jang’s artistic talents were celebrated with the Art Award. Mr. Mehran Jamshidian was rightfully acknowledged with the Best Teacher Award for his dedication and mentorship.
