On Monday, July 24th, 60 students from Mexico arrived here at TIA for our annual ESL Summer Camp! These students, age 12-16, came to Toronto from Mexico City to get a better grasp of the English language and explore Canada. For 2 weeks, the Summer Camp students will be in school from 9:00AM to 12:00 noon doing various reading, writing, and verbal activities. The goal is English immersion.
In the afternoon, they have a fun and educational itinerary, as they are going to the CN Tower, Niagara Falls, Wonderland, Square One, Sky Zone, Ripley’s Aquarium, the cinema, parks, and many other places.
The students are quick learners, and they feel very safe and welcomed here in Canada. We are thankful for the opportunity to host these students, and we hope that some of them choose to come to TIA for our full-time program in the near future.
